Every tool you need for everyday PDFs
Organise, mark up and finish a PDF in one place.
Merge PDFs
Join other PDFs onto the end of this one, in the order you pick them.
Add pages
Add a blank page, pages from another PDF, or an image as a page, at the position you choose.
Delete pages
Take out the pages you name.
Rotate
Turn the pages you name a quarter turn left or right, for good.
Reorder
Move a page to a new place in the file.
Split or extract
Save a page range, like 1-3, 7, as its own PDF, or split the file into one PDF per range.
Images to PDF
Make a PDF from JPG or PNG images, one image a page.
Stamps
Press where an APPROVED, PAID or today's date stamp goes.
Whiteout
Cover part of a page with white. This only hides it: the words underneath can still be copied.
Redact
Black out part of a page for good. The page is turned into a picture, so the covered words can't be copied or found.
Flatten
Make filled-in form fields and notes part of the page, so they can't be changed.
The viewer brings thumbnails and outline, search, zoom, print, download, fill in forms, add text, draw, highlight, add an image and sign.
Signatures
Sign it yourself, in seconds.
Draw, type or add a picture of your signature with the viewer's Sign button, place it, and save. Fill in a PDF form's fields the same way. On the Team plan your saved signatures follow you to every device you sign in on, and only you can use them.
Most Australian business documents can be signed electronically under the Electronic Transactions Act, with exceptions such as wills and some deeds. If in doubt, check with your adviser.
- Draw, type or upload a signature
- Stamps: Approved, Paid and today's date
- Flatten so filled-in fields can't be changed
- Keep up to five signatures on the Team plan
Privacy
Your files never leave your device.
Worked on in this tab
PDF.js and pdf-lib do the work inside your browser. The file you open isn't uploaded, scanned or kept by us.
Works offline
Install it as an app and it opens with no connection, and from "Open with" on your computer.
Redaction that really removes
Redacted pages are rebuilt as pictures, so the covered words can't be copied or found afterwards.

Questions
Good to know
Are my files uploaded?
No. Opening, editing and saving happen in your browser. A file only leaves your device if you're on the Team plan and press Save to team, or make a share link.
Why does saving need a sign-in?
It keeps the free tool free: each free account has 5 saves in any 7 days. Editing never needs one, and your file stays open while you sign in. The Team plan has no limit.
What does Optimise PDF do?
It makes the saved file smaller: big photos are drawn again at print quality (about 150 dots per inch at the size they're shown) and unused parts are dropped. Words and drawings are never changed, and if it can't make the file smaller you get the original.
What can't it do?
Compress text-only files much further, read the words in a scan (OCR), convert to Word or Excel, change the words already in a PDF, or add a password. A browser can't do those well, so they're left out rather than done badly.
Who makes it?
Autonome, an Australian company that automates the busywork around documents, quotes and invoices. The PDF tool is free and sponsored by Autonome.
Built by Autonome
PDFs are one job. Autonome takes care of the rest.
Quotes, invoices, approvals and the follow-ups around them, handled by Gadgets that work with the apps you already use.
